What stood out in Thursday's performance was its vibrancy, a rhythmic flow and propulsive quality that gave the music a dynamic pulse.

木曜日の演奏で際立っていたのは、その活力、リズミカルな流れ、推進力のある音楽性である。音楽にダイナミックな躍動感を与えていた。

（木曜日の初日、わずかなフレーズを聴いただけで素晴らしいコンサートになる予感がしたのですねえ。）


It was as if the orchestra was a well-tuned Porsche under Dohnányi's direction; with merest of hand gesture, the orchestra responded.

ドホナーニ氏指揮のもと、オーケストラはよくチューンナップされたポルシェのようであった。わずかな指示でオーケストラはよく応えていた。

（阿吽の呼吸に近いです。オケと指揮者が同じ方向を向いているのでほとんど指示が必要ないのでしょうね。）

（客席の咳や携帯の着信音が最近よく問題になっているセヴェランスホールですが、この日はなんと演奏中咳一つなかったそうで・・・。魔法にかかったのか!?）
